The Larks are a fantastic, friendly group of women who love to sing! They meet on a Monday evening at Alberta Avenue Community League and are all about the fun and the community! No audition is required and anyone who identifies as a woman can join, no experience necessary! The choir have only been singing together for a year but are already making an awesome sound and are super excited to share that sound with the Kaleido Festival goers!

Mikayla Bortscher weaves magic with her thought-provoking and powerful lyrics. Accompanied by a 36 string folk lever harp, Mikayla brings wonder and awe to her audiences. Talesa has been singing and playing piano for 28 years, since the young age of 4, starting her music journey in Music For Young Children's classes and then graduating into Royal Conservatory of Music. Talesa took a liking to making music at her church and singing in choirs at her schools, and those passions are what lead her to the majority of the work she seeks out in her professional career today. Being a graduate of Victoria School of Performing Arts, she was inspired to continue on to Grant MacEwan's Music Program majoring in Jazz and Contemporary Piano Performance. Today, you'll see Talesa singing and playing for many choirs and schools throughout the city of Edmonton and surrounding area (of note: EKO Singers, Accord Ensemble, Nuf Sed and FORM of the TIME Association, Kikimasu of the Korora [previously Kokopelli] Association, Memorial Composite High School choirs, Victoria School choirs, MD at Ross Sheppard for their spring Musical), Music Directing at Good Shepherd Anglican Church, accompanying for solo instruments and vocalists, performing in a band with her friends "Mallory and the Mystics", and freelancing in many various other capacities.

"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans" A singer and songwriter for many years, Kim kept his songs and singing mostly to himself. When the economy changed in 2014, this oilfield technologist and trainer soon found himself with a new job title (Home Dad), and a need to get out of the house once a week. Playing open stages led to jobs hosting open stages, and later the steady music work he's so thankful for. He is influenced by the writing of Earle, and Joel, and the music of Blue Rodeo and The Tragically Hip. A soulful storyteller, with a slight activist bent, Kim is happiest singing songs about the experiences that bind us, and the events that change our lives.

Mark & Mira Acoustic duo based in Edmonton, AB. Performing original music and cover songs steeped in folk, rock and roots, with a side of contemporary flavour. Sway along to the sound of Mira Angela's classically trained violin prowess while Mark McGowan strums his six string and sings from the heart. In 2024 the Edmonton open mic community had seen this duo grace almost every stage available before they traveled to a well received North Country Fair main stage performance. This unique duo is a must see for music lovers of all kinds as their countless influences continue to inspire their creativity and passion.
