Peter Nolan

Peter Nolan is an acoustic blues player and singer. Strains of Robert Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt, Mississippi Fred Mac Dowell, and others in that vein are clearly evident in his playing. Having opportunities to play and learn from folks like Mary Flower and Ken Hamm have allowed Peter to carry forth the tradition of playing delta blues finger picking and slide. Coming to the party late, at age 50, has not hindered the process of building a name as an independent musician. Prior to the pandemic, Peter was booked to play The Pembina River Nights Festival and has played alongside well known artists such as Eric Bibb, Guy Davis, and Michael Jerome Brown. Furthermore, Peter has a growing fanbase in Cuenca, Equador where he and his wife venture to for a couple months every year.

First Gen

First Gen is a jazz-influenced hip-hop ensemble led by Filipino rapper and multi-instrumentalist Gr8skawt (Scott Snider). Featuring a rotating collective of diverse musicians, many of whom are first-generation immigrants of Asian descent, the group has been a dynamic presence on Edmonton stages for the past five years. Blending live instrumentation, improvisation, and sharp lyricism with influences from jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop, First Gen creates an energetic and distinctive sound grounded in collaboration, cultural identity, and musical exploration.

Celtic Frolic

Hailing from the Edmonton, Alberta area, Celtic Frolic is a four-piece band dedicated to sharing the energy, tradition, and spirit of Celtic music. Blending lively instrumentals with timeless songs, the group brings audiences on a musical journey through the rich traditions of Ireland, Scotland, and beyond. Featuring Dan Staples, Kris Gallibois, Logan Gray, and Jerome Cranston, Celtic Frolic combines the sounds of flute, fiddle, mandolin, Irish bouzouki, guitar, and even spoons to create an authentic and engaging performance. From driving jigs and reels to heartfelt ballads and well-loved traditional sing-alongs, the band's music celebrates the stories, history, and joy at the heart of Celtic folk traditions. Jeremiah McDade is a Juno Award winning saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger. Jeremiah graduated with high distinction from McGill University’s Jazz Performance program and received a distinguished alumni award from MacEwan University. He frequently tours throughout North America and Europe with his group, The McDades, as well as collaborating and recording with many different artists. As a side man, Jeremiah has performed on five Juno- nominated recordings, amongst dozens of others, as well as performing on multiple film scores. Jeremiah was a featured soloist with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in 2012, 2014 and 2016 and he performs regularly with big bands in Alberta including the Edmonton Jazz Orchestra and the Calgary Creative Arts Ensemble. Jeremiah teaches saxophone, violin, and wind instruments from around the world privately and as a sessional instructor at MacEwan University.

The Ednova Quartet brings together four friends whose musical journeys have spanned continents and cultures, now united in Edmonton. They also perform together in the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, bringing the depth, precision, and poise of their training to every performance. Grounded in the richness of their classical artistry, the ensemble moves freely between jazz, folk, tango, pop, blues, and contemporary works alongside chamber repertoire.
