Scott Snider is a young trombonist based in Edmonton, Alberta. Having completed four years of study at Macewan University, studying under local jazz moguls Craig Brenan, Raymond Baril and Kent Sangster, Scott is out to make his mark on the Edmonton music scene. Playing in a myriad of ensembles perform everything from soft lounge jazz, top 40 pop cover bands to aggressive punk and hip hop sets, Scott prides himself on his performance versatility.

The Scott Snider Standards Trio, consisting of Scott’s musical collaborators, Gaston Butcher and Josh Dagg was formed in 2017 for their namesakes graduation recital. They play an intimate drum free take on standard repertoire, heavily inspired by the musical stylings of Bob Brookmeyer, Ed Bickert and Craig Brenan. Performing with an emphasis on musical interaction and a light enjoyable atmosphere, look forward to seeing a fresh perspective on classic standards.

Kaleido Family Arts Festival is a free festival, donations are gratefully accepted.
