WREN is an indie folk duo of Edmonton musicians, spanning genres, but always maintaining a unique sound and showcasing lush harmonies. The group, founded in 2017, features Rachel Gleddie and Vanessa Wilson. With influences from pop to country to jazz, these musicians with diverse backgrounds come together to create a distinct, evocative style. The sound of WREN, often stripped bare with acoustic instrumentation, highlights the rich blend of two unique voices, impactful, storytelling lyrics, and melodic guitar and ukulele lines, accompanied by sprinklings of hand percussion. As longtime friends, their love for sharing stories and writing music together serves as a foundation for the group’s creative and musical bond, on or offstage. This passion resonates as WREN carefully weaves their way through thought-provoking lyrics and interlacing genres, enticing all listeners like.

Kaleido Family Arts Festival is a free festival, donations are gratefully accepted.
