Hi, I'm Taylor, the artist behind Taylor May Art. Originally from a small fishing village in Digby County, Nova Scotia, I moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 2026 with my partner and our two cats to start a new chapter. The journey inspired me to finally pursue my lifelong passion for painting. My work celebrates the beauty of everyday life through vibrant oil paintings that embrace a sense of whimsy and surprise. Using a playful, painterly style, I enjoy transforming familiar subjects into something a little unexpected, like a robin enjoying a gummy worm or an apple that reveals itself to be a cake. Through colour, texture, and expressive brushwork, I create artwork that invites curiosity, conversation, and a smile.

We are a husband and wife duo who love hobbies, adventures, and travel and try to encompass our multifaceted personalities into our leatherwork. We have been on a journey of finding what makes us happy and would love to share that collection of objects with you!
We make leather goods inspired by all of the things that make us happy. This includes fun bags, things to go on bikes, fun ways to carry beer (growler carriers mainly), wallets with pockets embossed with tree bark, accessories made out of upcycled hockey equipment, and even Easter island head shaped facial tissue dispensers. It’s a little smattering of functional yet fun. All of our leather goods are hand stitched!
