UNITY is a circular arrangement of 32 poles. Each pole is labelled with an Indigenous focused identifier. With yarn, participants tie to each pole with which they identify. A canopy of interconnectedness forms as more people participate. In the end, we see that we are all connected by something. #UNITY

The National Stiltwalkers of Canada are dedicated to the Preservation, Promotion and Presentation of the art of Stiltwalking locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Since 2001, the National Stiltwalkers of Canada have been sharing their “High Spirited Entertainment” at festivals and events throughout Alberta. They have also performed in Ottawa, the Maritimes, Victoria, Oregon, Washington, DC, and at an international circus festival in Nanjing, China. They are happy to be returning to the Kaleido Fest for the 19th year in a row!
Pangaea Arts is an intercultural, interdisciplinary world arts organization based in Vancouver. Pangaea Arts was formed to promote cultural interaction and the exchange of ideas between diverse communities and to introduce Canadian audiences to performance traditions from around the world. Pangaea Arts creates productions that educate by participation, encouraging audiences and artists to actively investigate different cultures and ideas.
Waiting to receive In the city once known as “the Gateway to the North” resides: a street performer, and for over a decade this street performer has been neither man… nor statue BUT a combination of the two; a LIVING statue. Many call this man “Copper Cowboy”, others call him “Dan”, and this festival you may see spooky scary SCARECROWS taking up roost just in time for the fall season. He is all silly, all fun, so say 'Hello' when you see him out at the street festival… or not, this is a bio and I can’t really enforce that.
Sharon Larose from Usk, BC shares her knowledge of Bannock passed down by her mother and kokum. Bannock can be baked in a pan or on a stone (camping), shallow pan-fried, or deep-fried. You can enjoy it with stews or just jam and butter. Sharon is a Festival Favourite who always has a lineup waiting to taste her delicious fry bread. She has made a many Bannocks over the fire and thinks it’s the best when fried!
