Brianna a recent graduate at MacEwan University with the Bachlor of Music Program, Brianna has compete at the Canadian Grand Masters, performed in music festivals across Alberta, and traveled to Rome to support the Metis delegates during their meetings with the Pope in 2022. Brianna can be found teaching fiddle lessons, Metis history through music and dance workshops, and in studios recording for documentaries, EPs, singles, etc. She looks forward to developing her voice within the Canadian music scene.

Co-Owner of Kokimaw Nipawo with his wife, Jerry Saddleback Jr., is a father first, husband, continuing life­long learner of the Plains Cree Culture and Traditions as well as a musician & businessman. He thrives with a background in First Nations Governance as a past serving member of Council for Samson Cree Nation. Kokimaw Nipawo specializes in wellness workshops, art therapy, cultural teachings, traditional Plains Cree Hoop-Dance, Music & traditional Powwow Dance showcases and much more.

Mark & Mira Acoustic duo based in Edmonton, AB. Performing original music and cover songs steeped in folk, rock and roots, with a side of contemporary flavour. Sway along to the sound of Mira Angela's classically trained violin prowess while Mark McGowan strums his six string and sings from the heart. In 2024 the Edmonton open mic community had seen this duo grace almost every stage available before they traveled to a well received North Country Fair main stage performance. This unique duo is a must see for music lovers of all kinds as their countless influences continue to inspire their creativity and passion.

We play danceable mash-ups of radio favorite rock tunes with a rockabilly/country-swing style that makes folks want to get up and shake it. Add cool TV and movie themes and you could be served up anything from Prince to The Cars, maybe a dash of instrumental Floyd, or Frampton backed by the Stray Cats for extra flavor…you never know, the Police might even show up…they always do when Tom Jones has gotten drunk again. Trevor Howlett & The Cruz Bros. are an Edmonton-based rock trio blending a wide range of influences into a dynamic live experience. Fronted by Cape Breton singer-songwriter Trevor Howlett, the band features Red Deer-raised brothers Tristan and Patrick Cruz on drums and bass, bringing their unique energy and memorable grooves. The trio’s members bring decades of experience performing for audiences near and far. Their self-titled debut EP, released in July 2023, showcases a mix of upbeat rockers and introspective tracks. The trio’s sound is amplified by the Cruz Bros.’ rhythmic energy, creating a versatile setlist that spans from intimate acoustic shows to high-energy rock performances.

We play original, 50s inspired rock and roll with a modern twist. Our influences range from Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Gene Vincent, to the Stray Cats, Chris Isaak and Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys. We have shared the stage with the likes of The Reverend Horton Heat, Petunia & the Vipers, Peter & the Wolves, Mad Bombers Society, Kayla & Matt Hotte, Sam Spades and The Confusionaires to name a few. We love this City & appreciate the impact that Kaleido Festival has on the Alberta Avenue Community.

The Rubim de Toledo Trio featuring Chris Andrew & Dave Laing

Award-winning Canadian bassist and composer Rubim de Toledo combines the influences of his Brazilian heritage and his dedication to the jazz tradition to create an approach to music that is refreshing and uplifting. With a musical palette that spans the globe, drawing inspiration from Latin, Caribbean, African, jazz, and contemporary influences, Rubim blends improvisation with a forward-looking traditionalism. His distinctive sound and style as a bassist and composer have earned him acclaim, making him a standout figure in the Western Canadian music scene. In a notable 2021 milestone, Rubim clinched the Western Canadian Music Award (WCMA) for Instrumental Artist of the Year, adding to his impressive accolades that include a previous WCMA Jazz Artist of the Year win in 2018. The same year saw him nominated for Global Artist of the Year, a testament to the universality of his musical voice. In 2024, Rubim has been again nominated for two WCMA awards. Beyond his solo endeavors, Rubim is also a founding member of Albertan Latin groups Montuno West, Bomba, and Maracujah and has been a frequent musical director for Calgary’s Decidedly Jazz Danceworks since 2006. Additionally, Rubim serves as the head of the performance and bass departments at MacEwan University in Edmonton, nurturing the next generation of musical talent.
