Come experience the richness of Peking opera which is recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage and has had an extensive influence on modern European theatre through Stanislavsky and Brecht. The program features acclaimed artist William Lau and his collaborators in captivating excerpts of classical repertoires with magnificent costumes, extraordinary make-up, refined performance and powerful drama. English translation and lively introduction will guide you into this distinctive art form.

Autumn is a welcoming time for communities to share a richness of their heritage and traditions. Join a cultural celebration including artisans, music and dance of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples at the Takwakin Village. There will be traditional crafts for sale as well as craft workshops and demonstrations. (Fish scale art, bannock tasting, Métis finger weaving, Cree language lessons, and flint & steel firemaking).
